Multilingual Therapy

Our diverse team of clinicians provides therapy in Spanish and French. Depending on clinician availability, other languages may be offered.

Taking into account each child's unique language journey is vital. Every child has a different interaction with their second (or third) language and is at a different point in development.

When assessing children, we take into account these factors as well as whether language challenges are due to differences or actual disabilities. This enables us to tailor our services and maximize progress.

Many parents ask whether exposing their child to more than one language can cause delays or confusion. The short answer is NO. Children can learn more than one form of communication at the same time, differentiate these, and use them appropriately. All children make language mistakes when learning a language even those exposed to just one language. Therefore, mistakes alone do not indicate a language learning issue.

We are happy to explain our dynamic approach to language assessment with multilingual learners. Give us a call today to learn more.
