Our clinical director and lead speech-language therapist is a highly accomplished communication specialist with nearly 20 years of dedicated experience. She has worked with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, early learners, and school-age children, ensuring that each child receives the tailored support they need.
Dr. Firmin-Guyon is trained in a variety of innovative strategies and approaches, including D.I.R. Floor Time, PROMPT, Sounds in Motion, and the Wilson Reading System, among others. Her expertise extends to working with multilingual populations, making her highly skilled in addressing the unique needs of diverse communities.
Throughout her career, she has served as a consultant to a leading pediatric mental health facility and numerous multidisciplinary practices, providing invaluable insights and support. Additionally, she has offered academic consultation services to independent schools and special education boards, helping to create inclusive and effective learning environments.
Dr. Firmin-Guyon is actively engaged in research, with a particular focus on the intersection of early childhood mental health and communication. Her contributions to the field aim to enhance our understanding of how early mental health influences communication development and to develop effective intervention strategies.
She is board-certified and has been honored with several professional accolades, including multiple "Best of" awards, recognizing her excellence and commitment to the field.
